A Tong Peal barrel washer with a 4m long x 1200mm diameter barrel is installed at LEV.

A high pressure 'booster bar' sprays the potatoes inside the barrel which removes most stubborn soil attached to the tubers.

The gentle turning of the crop whilst semi submerged in water gives excellent cleaning.

A scraper chain in the water tank removes any soil sediment so there is no build up of mud so less maintenance.

See the heavy duty triple vee belt drive system which supports and drives the stainless steel barrel.
