Shown here are the individual cradles or 'hands' which carry each tuber.
Having been rotated under the cameras and passed over load cells for weighing, the tubers are conveyed by the 'hand' system.
On reaching the designated outlet conveyor for the tuber specification, the 'hand' is triggered by a solenoid and is tipped. The tuber rolls from the 'hand' onto the outlet conveyor.
Each 'hand' is cleaned by an air/vapour spray on each rotation of the machine to ensure there is no build-up of debris etc......
