The singulation system for the Pomone grader is by vee belts. Each lane has two vee belts which have individual variable speed drives.
By adjusting the belt speeds the tubers are 'stretched' into single lines with spacing between them.
This gives a good feed into the bicone section which takes each tuber and carries it and rotates it under the cameras.
