SPONGE DRIERS

Sponge Driers are available from Tong Peal to efficiently dry potatoes after washing.

Stainless or Mild steel construction is available with stainless steel product contact points on a the mild steel machines.

Do-Nut Sponge - The main drying rollers are a 100mm diameter sponge material referred to as a Do-Nut sponge.  These are pushed onto shafts to make up the drying area of the machine.

The weight of the rollers and the lowering of pressure arms on each side of the drier compress the sponge rollers onto drive rollers.  It is this pressure which removes surplus water.

Pintle rollers can be fitted before the sponge rollers.  Three rubber pintle rollers allow the majority of the water to pass through the rollers allowing the sponge to work more efficiently.
