CARTON SYSTEM

This is a fully automated carton system that works in partnership with the MAF Oneway Grader.

The computer software allows traceability of the product through out the process.

Oneway Cup Sizer - A roller presentation conveyor orientates  tubers in-line.  They pass over a vee belt singulating section which has variable belt speeds which separate the tubers which are then transferred into individual cups.  After passing over load cells they are distributed onto predetermined outlet belts for packing.

High Capacity - The new generation weight grader has 40% more capacity than previous machines.  With each cup clipped in place on top of the lane chain support rods have been eradicated.  Much higher speeds are now attainable and maintenance has been reduced to a minimum.  The average working speed is now 400 cups a minute per lane. Will handle tubers up to 200mm in length.

Lanes and Outlets - Models are available with two, three, four, five or six lanes.  Any number of outlet belts for weight graded crop can be had.  When packing into cartons two alternating belts per category are used to give high capacity non stop operation.

Orphea - The Windows based interface system is Maf's own Orphea. Developed in-house the user friendly computer system gives the operator a comprehensive range of options: automatic memorising of programmes, easy programming, rapid operation, operator programme modifications while the machine is in operation, real time display on the monitor screen, modem linked to Maf.

Service - Each machine is supported by a TongPeal/Maf Roda partnership which is almost twenty years old. This experience is especially extended to the product knowledge of our service engineers and spare parts personnel.
